CoolToday Park

The 2020 season was the first for the Braves CoolToday Park in North Port, their new, state of the art spring training home. At CoolToday Park, the Atlanta Braves have created a Grapefruit League facility for others to go by in the future. Some of the new features include:

A 90-acre training complex.
A 360-degree concourse with views of surrounding areas and wide concourses allowing for easy access throughout the ballpark.
A variety of seating areas. The traditional grandstand theater seating, half-moon four tops extending from foul territory into fair, with drinks rails to the back and a berm space in the left-field corner.
The Budweiser Bench is located in left-center field and a suite sits at field level, beneath the wraparound concourse.
Two Terrace areas on each end of the grandstand’s second level are available for all fans and feature access to an air-conditioned space and a full-service bar.
The corner Left Field Lounge is a multilayer group area with a dedicated menu and waitstaff.
Drink rails surrounding the entire seating bowl.

CoolToday Park offers plenty of reminders you are at an Atlanta Braves spring-training game. Large murals of Braves greats like Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine wrap the exterior towers, while the team’s retired numbers–#3 (Dale Murphy), #6 (Bobby Cox), #10 (Chipper Jones), #21 (Warren Spahn), #29 (John Smoltz), #31 (Maddux), #35 (Phil Niekro) , #41 (Eddie Mathews), #44 (Henry Aaron), #47 (Glavine) and #42 (Jackie Robinson) are memorialized on the front plaza.

The complex also has seven diamonds (four for major leaguers, three for minor leaguers), 11 batting cages and 63 pitching mounds.

Stadium Information

CoolToday Park was completed in 2019. The 2024 season will be the Braves fifth full season at this location.

Pitchers and catchers report on Thursday, February 15 and the first full squad workout is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20.
