Attending a Blue Jays Game at TD Ballpark

From a visit to TD Ballpark on March 14, 2026

If there’s a Florida Spring Training park worthy of an early arrival. It’s TD Ballpark in Dunedin.

What Green Bay is to the NFL, Dunedin is to the Florida Grapefruit League.

It’s the smallest city among the 13 Florida Spring Training host communities, with a population of just over 35,000.

Don’t let that fool you. There’s a reason the Toronto Blue Jays settled in Dunedin in 1977 and haven’t left.

The 2026 season is the 50th year for the Jays in Dunedin. They’re the only team in MLB to be in one location for that long since the teams inception.

TD Ballpark is located five blocks south of the small but bustling downtown area and four blocks off Clearwater Harbor.

Arrive early and park for free in the downtown parking garage and enjoy a spring late morning 1/2 mile walk down the Pinellas Trail, or Douglas Avenue and sample of the local shops downtown.

Along the way, street flags celebrate the Blue Jays 2025 American League Championship and World Series appearance and the 50th Anniversary.

If you’re looking for Pre-game beverages, a stop at Bauser’s is a must. The beer is cold and reasonably priced. It also offers a full liquor bar and a food truck in the parking lot. If you park at Bauser’s, you’ll receive a free beer ticket. Then continue another block to TD Ballpark.

The front of the stadium looks pristine with its white and blue colors. Plenty of Gameday staff members are at work to move fans quickly into the stadium.

The 100 level seats are very close to the field and the 200 level seats provide a nice higher level view of the playing field.

TD Ballpark underwent renovations before the 2020 season to include a 360 degree concourse. The West End Flight Deck offers a bar and seating in right field and a chance to see pitchers warming up in the bullpen.

On this day fans above the rightfield Blue Jays bullpen were treated to a warmup by starting veteran pitcher Max Scherzer. He faced fellow Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal and the two matched zeros on the scoreboard into the fifth inning.

Here’s one of the things noticeable in the friendly confines of TD Ballpark. After recording one out in the top of the fifth inning, Scherzer looked at the dugout and signaled with an index finger, he would pitch to one more batter.

The crafty veteran forced the next batter into a ground out and out came Jays Manager John Schneider to ask for the ball.  Scherzer walked off the mound to a well deserved ovation.

TD Ballpark and the Blue Jays offer a very well-produced game program with articles about the success of the 2025 season, player photos and a scorecard in the middle.  Vendors offer small pencils for those scoring in the stands.

The concourse underneath the stadium are very manageable and there’s a large open space with shade, games and picnic table for pre-game snacking and fun.

An air-conditioned bar is in left field for fans to take a respite from the sun. Outside of one of the doors is the beginning of the walkway across the outfield.

When taking in the sights of the stadium, be aware, the walkways from the outfield to the seating area is not very wide and gets congested as the time of the first pitch counts down.

Shade is hard to come by at TD Ballpark so be sure to visit the free sunscreen stations under the stadium. Here’s a tip, if it’s a warm day, take a break and stand in the stairway from the lower concourse to the seating area. It offers a nice wind tunnel effect with cooling breezes.

Spend a day in Dunedin and enjoy the waterfront and downtown areas.  Enjoy Blue Jays baseball and feel free to stick around the Spring Training home of the Blue Jays for a bit more.

As written in the souvenir program, “While the lineups, coaches and name of the ballpark have changed over the years, one thing has never wavered – Dunedin’s love for the game.”

It shows and is to be celebrated.
